LesleeAllan Contact The Bug Above My Bed
Mrs. Bennett's toast
Dear Mrs. Bennett will you pass my coat and my hat, i can't eat another teacake and my sister says I'm getting real fat, it gets cold now in the mornings and I'm really feeling down, but there's buttered toast for breakfast, so I guess I'd better hang around.
Dear Mrs. Bennett, did I tell you that my knee's healed up, I went straight to the doctors, and he told me I should strengthen up, I'm not the world's best athlete, so I thought I'd jog around this town. But there's buttered toast for breakfast, So I guess I'd better hang around. I'm looking for somewhere else, where I can find a bed, But you and your buttered toast have gone right to my head, Dear Mrs. Bennett, can you tell me if my hair looks good,
I'm meeting Jackie Taylor later, down by the twenty acres wood, She's not the greatest looker, as I'm sure you've heard some people boast, But she says her needs are simple, and she sure can cook good buttered toast, Yeah she says her needs are simple and she sure can cook good buttered toast
